In 1957 Philmont Scout Ranch introduced one of the most widely recognized symbols in the Scout memorabilia hobby - the Arrowhead. As the story goes, the idea for the patch dates back to 1956. A staff member noticed a rock outcropping on the north side of Tooth ridge. It was shaped like an arrowhead. He suggested that Philmont award a patch of the shape to crews who completed their trek. The Arrowhead award prominently features the illustrious Tooth of Time. Add the arrowhead hat pin to your hat so you can carry it everywhere you go.
